No reconditioning required. ECO-FLEX is self-cleaning by design — the only byproduct is dry dust, collected through standard vibratory dust collection adapters. Unlike treated organic media that loses its compound charge over time, or wet media producing sludge, ECO-FLEX generates only dry debris that is straightforward to collect and dispose of. Replacement is needed only when the media has worn down significantly from its original size or when cutting performance has measurably decreased over time.
ECO-FLEX works in standard vibratory finishing equipment — no specialized wet-processing infrastructure required. The key addition is a dust collection adapter for the vibratory bowl or tub to capture dry dust byproduct. Polar Finishing vibratory tubs and floor bowls are fully compatible with ECO-FLEX dry media. Since no water, drain, or compound recirculation system is needed, setup footprint and infrastructure requirements are considerably simpler than a full wet finishing line.
Yes. The higher-cut ECO-FLEX grades (EF 0800, 0900, 1000) effectively deburr stainless steel and other hard metals without water or compound. For very heavy deburring on hardened alloys, wet ceramic media achieves faster results, but ECO-FLEX is a practical dry alternative for light-to-medium burr removal on stainless, titanium, and similar materials.
