Unlike organic dry media (corn cob, walnut shell) which focus on polishing, ECO-FLEX delivers real cutting and deburring action in a 100% dry process. It's available in grades from EF 0400 (precious metal burnishing with minimal abrasion) through EF 1000 (maximum aggressive cut-down), covering a wide range of finishing requirements.

ECO-FLEX eliminates wastewater treatment, compound purchasing, and the mess of wet processing while still delivering meaningful deburring and edge blending. Aggressive wet ceramic media (D+, E+) can achieve higher stock removal rates for very heavy deburring, but ECO-FLEX handles the majority of light-to-medium deburring tasks cleanly and efficiently. Its self-cleaning nature means no reconditioning between batches — ideal for shops looking to simplify their finishing process or eliminate water treatment compliance costs.

No reconditioning required. ECO-FLEX is self-cleaning by design — the only byproduct is dry dust, collected through standard vibratory dust collection adapters. Unlike treated organic media that loses its compound charge over time, or wet media producing sludge, ECO-FLEX generates only dry debris that is straightforward to collect and dispose of. Replacement is needed only when the media has worn down significantly from its original size or when cutting performance has measurably decreased over time.

ECO-FLEX works in standard vibratory finishing equipment — no specialized wet-processing infrastructure required. The key addition is a dust collection adapter for the vibratory bowl or tub to capture dry dust byproduct. Polar Finishing vibratory tubs and floor bowls are fully compatible with ECO-FLEX dry media. Since no water, drain, or compound recirculation system is needed, setup footprint and infrastructure requirements are considerably simpler than a full wet finishing line.

Yes. The higher-cut ECO-FLEX grades (EF 0800, 0900, 1000) effectively deburr stainless steel and other hard metals without water or compound. For very heavy deburring on hardened alloys, wet ceramic media achieves faster results, but ECO-FLEX is a practical dry alternative for light-to-medium burr removal on stainless, titanium, and similar materials. The pre-formed shapes won't lodge in part features, making it safer for complex geometry parts than loose abrasive alternatives.
