Warranty Information
What's covered, what isn't, and how warranty claims work on parts purchased from Machinist's Vault.
What's covered
Only products explicitly listed and sold as genuine, brand-name OEM (original equipment manufacturer) products are covered by that manufacturer's own warranty. The terms, length, and conditions of that warranty are set entirely by the manufacturer, not by Machinist's Vault.
OEM-compatible / aftermarket parts — meaning parts manufactured to fit a given machine or brand without being made by that brand — are not covered under that original equipment manufacturer's warranty, since they were not produced by that manufacturer. Where an aftermarket part includes its own supplier warranty, that will be stated specifically on the product listing.
How a manufacturer warranty claim works
- Warranty claims on branded OEM products are handled according to that manufacturer's stated warranty process and timelines.
- Machinist's Vault can help direct you to the right manufacturer process and provide your purchase information to support a claim, but we are not the warrantor of branded OEM products we did not manufacture.
- Keep your order confirmation and any relevant part documentation — manufacturers typically require proof of purchase and date for warranty claims.
Limitation of liability
Machinist's Vault is a supplier of parts and equipment. We are not responsible for, and do not accept liability for, any damage to your machine, lost production time, labor costs, or any other direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the installation, use, misuse, or failure of any part or product purchased from us, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Some provinces, states, and jurisdictions in Canada and the United States do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain implied warranties or of incidental or consequential damages. In those jurisdictions, the limitations described above apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law, and you may have additional rights that this page does not, and cannot, override.
Improper installation, incorrect part selection, or use outside a part's specified operating parameters can affect both warranty eligibility and machine safety. If you're unsure whether a part is correct for your machine, confirm fitment using our Brand Compatibility Guide or contact us before installing.
This page is provided for general informational purposes to help you understand how warranty coverage works on our products. It is not legal advice and does not modify any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law in your province, state, or country. For the authoritative terms of any specific warranty, refer to that manufacturer's official warranty documentation.
