Machinist's Vault - Google Ads Integration
About this application
Machinist’s Vault is an internal software integration operated by Machinist’s Vault Inc., a Canadian industrial parts distributor based in Ontario. We supply fiber laser cutting consumables, press brake tooling, abrasives and fume extraction equipment to metal fabrication shops across Canada and the United States through our online store at machinistsvault.com.
What this application does
This application connects our own Google Ads advertising account to our own Shopify store. It is used by our staff to:
- Create and manage search and shopping advertising campaigns for the products we sell
- Maintain keyword and negative keyword lists based on search term performance
- Retrieve advertising performance reports
- Reconcile advertising spend against our own sales data so we can measure return on advertising investment accurately
Who uses it
This application is for internal use only. It is operated solely by employees of Machinist’s Vault Inc. against advertising and commerce accounts that we own. It is not offered to the public, not sold or licensed to any third party, and has no external users. There is no sign-up, and no customer accounts are involved.
Data we access
The application reads advertising performance data from our own Google Ads account, including campaign, ad group, keyword and search term statistics, and writes campaign configuration to that same account. It also requests read-only access to Google Search Console and Google Analytics data for our own website.
We do not access, collect, store or process data belonging to any other Google user. No personal information is gathered through this integration.
