Forvane Premium Zirconia Type 27 grinding wheels are designed for demanding fabrication work where sustained stock removal and consistent grinding performance matter. The zirconia abrasive and depressed-centre profile suit weld cleanup, beveling and heavy edge preparation on steel and stainless steel.

Type 27 or Type 29?

Type 27 — Flat

Choose Type 27 for broad contact on flat plate, sheet and larger surfaces. The flatter working angle supports controlled blending and surface preparation.

Type 29 — Conical

Choose Type 29 when concentrated pressure is useful for welds, edges, contours and faster material removal.

What materials can Forvane zirconia flap discs grind?

These discs are designed for steel and stainless steel. Use dedicated discs where your process requires cross-contamination control.

What is the difference between grinding wheels and flap discs?

A flap disc uses overlapping coated-abrasive flaps to grind and blend at the same time. This can reduce tool changes when the operation needs both material removal and surface refinement.

Will these fit my angle grinder?

They are 4-1/2 inches in diameter with a 7/8-inch arbor. Confirm your grinder arbor, guard and maximum spindle speed before use.

How do bulk pack sizes work?
