General Installation

Proper installation ensures optimal protection, beam quality, and extended service life of your laser optics.

Power off the machine and allow the laser head to cool.
Wear clean gloves and ensure all surfaces are free of dust or debris.

Remove components upward in order:

1.Fixed Ring

2. Protective Window

3. Sealing Ring

⚠️ Always follow the removal direction to avoid damage.

Install components in reverse order:

1. Sealing Ring

2. New Protective Window

3. Fixed Ring

Ensure the window sits flat and centered.

Step 3 — Install

Step 2 — Remove

Step 1 — Prepare

Check alignment and sealing.
Run a low-power test before resuming full operation.

Step 4 — Verify

⚠️ Installation Notice

Installation procedures may vary depending on the laser head brand and model.
Always follow the manufacturer’s recommended installation instructions for your specific laser system.

Machinist’s Vault protective windows are designed for compatibility across multiple brands, but component order, orientation, and torque specifications can differ between Trumpf, Raytools, Precitec, Bodor, Bystronic, Amada, and others.

If you are unsure, consult your machine manual or contact a qualified technician before installation.

FAQs

Got questions? We’ve got answer...

How often should I replace a protective window?

Depends on your cutting environment and power — check regularly for signs of residue build-up or surface damage.

What if the AR coating gets scratched?

Scratches can increase reflection and loss — replace the window if the surface integrity is compromised.

Can I use these on any laser brand?

Yes — as long as you select the correct diameter and thickness for your head model.

What happens if I don’t use a protective window?

Back-spatter and debris can directly hit internal lenses, significantly raising replacement costs and downtime.

Are these original OEM parts?

No. Machinist’s Vault protective windows are OEM-compatible replacements, not original manufacturer parts.
They are engineered to meet or exceed OEM performance specifications.

Can you help me confirm compatibility before ordering?

Yes. If you’re unsure, contact us!
