Polar FMT Small Series Vibratory Tub — Production Deburring for Fabrication Shops

The Polar FMT small series vibratory tub covers the FMT-03 (3 cubic feet) and FMT-06 (6.5 cubic feet) — purpose-built for fabrication shops, stamping operations, and contract manufacturers that run regular finishing batches on sheet metal, castings, and machined components.

Both models feature a durable urethane-lined steel tub, bottom discharge door, and compound recirculation. The FMT-03 suits smaller batch volumes on a single-phase supply; the FMT-06 handles higher throughput and is configurable for single or three-phase power.

Machinist's Vault supplies Polar small series tubs to Canadian shops with quote-based pricing and full application support. Contact us to configure the right model and media package for your production requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

The FMT-03 operates on 110 or 220V single-phase. The FMT-06 can be configured for single-phase (220V) or three-phase (440V). Confirm your available electrical service when requesting a quote so we can configure the correct motor and drive.

For laser-cut or punched sheet metal, medium-cut ceramic media is the most common starting point. Plastic media is preferred for painted or pre-coated parts to avoid surface damage. We recommend media type, shape, and size based on your alloy, part geometry, and required edge radius.

Yes. The FMT-03 and FMT-06 handle stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum, brass, and most fabrication metals. Media type, compound chemistry, and cycle time are adjusted for stainless to prevent contamination and achieve the required finish.

The tubs include an integrated compound recirculation system. A separate compound dosing/drip dispenser can be added as an option — contact us to include this in your quote if automated compound feed is required.
